My name is Janet Mailan Doan, and I am a Vietnamese American background artist from Southern California. I earned my Animation BFA at California State University Long Beach. I am a former concept artist for Captilight Studio and 2D art intern for Tilted Shed Studio. In Summer 2019, I was a camp counselor for Girls Make Games.

Ever since I could pick up a pencil, I have been drawing! I loved art and storytelling from a very young age. I hope that I can use my art to tell stories and make the world a better place.

I am focused on Background Layouts and picture book illustration. I also enjoy working in a variety of media such as graphite, ink, watercolor, gouache, colored pencils, and much more.

On my free time, I like to go hiking, play video games, spend time with friends and family, and garden.
